What the published fee includes.

Pinal County's hourly onsite investigation and the selected Type 4 permit or additional-permit components. The schedule caps the 4.02-through-4.22 permit total at $3,700.

What it does not establish.

Private test preparation, test-hole excavation, private design or engineering, materials, installation, larger 4.23-system fees, and services not selected.

Do not add blindly: A legacy official webpage still shows $94 site-investigation, $94 perc-observation, and $296 conventional figures. Do not blend those stale amounts with the later schedule effective December 2, 2023; the current onsite-investigation rate is $130 per hour and the current first Type 4 permit is $1,200.

Next steps.

  1. Ask the county how many investigation hours to expect and which Type 4 general permits the design requires.
  2. Add $500 only for each additional permit on the same notice and observe the published $3,700 cap.
  3. Keep excavation, private design, materials, and installation separate from county fees.
